Date Palm Seed Oil (Phoenix dactylifera L.) Green Extraction: Physicochemical Properties, Antioxidant Activities, and Phenolic and Fatty Acid Profiles

Date palm seed oil is among the precious vegetable oils with low yield, whose extraction commonly done organic solvents which cause serious problems. This study aims to assess effectiveness of orange peel essential as biosolvent for date extraction. Green was conducted by Soxhlet apparatus well soaking and compared method using petroleum ether. The GC-MS analysis confirmed its richness limonene (94.31%), justifies usefulness green solvent. latter gave higher yields, extracted bio-oil light brown pleasant odor, characteristics were consistent international standards. Based on GC profiles, obtained similar both solvents, major compounds oleic lauric acids. phenolic content antioxidant activity high, protocatechuic, chlorogenic, 4-O-caffeoylquinic Gallic p -coumaric acids
